Yes, it was just yesterday when I did a post saying I was going to be away for awhile. I realized I just need to get a grip and limit my time on here. I didn't want to miss our Cover to Cover chronological reading of the Bible. I made a commitment to do this and I don't want to miss out because I have issues with time management. So...
This is such a special week in the life of Christians. It is a time to remember what happened all of those years ago. Today is Palm Sunday. During our service they showed a video of interviews on the streets of our local cities. The interviewer was asking random people if they knew the meaning of Palm Sunday. Most had absolutely no idea what it is all about. I had to admit I didn't really know myself. It had been a tradition where we did a long reading standing in the Catholic church and I remember how I hated the part that said, "Crucify Him"...repeating it several times but that was about it. I loved how our pastor explained it as rolling out the red carpet (with palms) for Jesus' entrance on a donkey. I love this Holy week as it is a time to remember what He did for you and for me!
As I was doing our readings for this week the words that kept popping out to me were "Remember", "Do not forget" and "children".
Deuteronomy 4:9
"Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them."
Deuteronomy 6:12
" be careful that you do not forget the LORD, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery."
Deuteronomy 11:19
Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
I don't ever want to forget what God has done in my life and in the lives of my family. He has brought us so far and I want to remember all of the details. We've made it so far together and I want to teach my children to trust God so they will teach their children who will teach their children.

I hope you remember...
I love you,
Angie xoxo

I love the pictures of you and your family so much. Your post is ever present on my heart as we go through a meaningful Easter. Let us never forget..."fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Unfathomable love--but for the joy set before Him. Love your post and am privileged to walk this faith thing out with you, Angie. love, Annette
Ang... so true! We need to be learning and teaching our children, so they will grow strong in the Lord! This is the passion God has given me, and I just hope He finds me faithful!
Amen, sister!
I want to remember as well. I don't ever want to see Him as ordinary or someone to take for granted again! May your Easter week be blessed. And I'm glad you decided to keep doing "cover to cover".
Ang,
What I "remember" is taking that picture you have posted and where you were then in your heart with God.
I "remember" the look on your face when I invited you to see "Beth Moore".
I "remember" all the long talks and tears at Perkys...I miss you...
thank you for your post I truely learned from it, as we are go through this week, I can't help to be sad and happy at the same time, I grew up as Mormon and the way I saw things back then were so wrong, and I am so happy that now that I"m a Christian, i'm learning what Jesus really did for us...
I have been weeping on and off this weekend and still today... Jesus went through so much for us, yet we still sin, and I just cringe at the thought that it was becuase of the things I do and have done are the reason that Jesus had to go through it for us...
Let us remember
that we cry for mercy in one second and He's here...
for the log is always in our eye...
you are His treasured possession.
Just loved that you are still with us cause it made me skip a beat thinking we lost your presence, your humility, your kindness. Angie, I pray this Easter is full of His presence and power in your life and through you into your family you so love!
Hooray Angie,
I feel similar in spending too much time on the computer and letting other things go...thanks for posting...
I love your thoughts on remembering...I had thoughts about this as well...
Blessed by the family photo and it looks like the tshirts fit you all well...looks like you are living out loud!
May you have a blessed Easter!
Helen
Perfectly timed and well said. How quickly we rush to Easter. I want to take time to walk each moment with him this week. Only He is worthy of my steps.
Thanks and peace~elaine
Hey sweet girl!!!
I was driving down to Alabama to meet up with my family who was playing in a baseball tourney and from there we headed to the beach.....so, in some alone time in the car I listened to Psalms of Ascent and the beloved Beth taught one of the sessions on these Deut. 6 passages....
When we remember where we have been and the awesome grace God has given us....we should be able to give grace so much more and so much easier. Remember...so you can give!!
Hugs friend~~

I clicked over here from habit and was so happy to see that you had posted. Love the picture of your family...all of you so happy.
How true are your words today...we indeed MUST remember and reflect as Easter approaches.
I am praying for you. I miss hearing your pure and honest wisdom. God has given you a gift. Your words go straight to the point and always strengthen us as we read. God bless you as you take this time away. I will miss you so.
Blessings,
Tonja
Ang,
I knew when I read your post on "by faith" that God was speaking to us both in similar ways. I am trying to discern what it all looks like for me in this season of life.
Papa, Jesus, Holy Spirit come and reveal to both Ang and I the reality of our day to day living. Don't let us be caught up in the thorns and thistles of this world.
Many blessings to you, Ang as your journey. I'd love for you to keep me posted (as God allows) with where He is taking you.
Love,
Julie
Angie,
I thank you for this reminder. Last night I was cleaning up old computer disks (the 3 1/2" floppy ones) and the old hard drive. I found notes and journal entries that I saved of what I was going through and where I am now. There is so much the Lord has done for me. I dont want to forget! I know He delivered me and set me free. Thanks for sharing this.
Love & blessings in Christ--
Angie...
From Palm Sunday to the Cross... may all of understand the Passion of our Lord - and not just skip over it because it's the hard part. Between the cheers of Palm Sunday to the Glorious Resurrection Christ had to suffer, experience pain and become sin in order to save us. It is hard to walk with him on this journey of suffering, but a necessity. In order to truly try and grasp the tremendous sacrifice... each year at this time I watch The Passion of the Christ - to grasp a clearer understanding of the love God has for us. A love that is beyond all human understanding. He chose the nails - for us!
Bless your Holy Week and your Easter!
I am so glad that you didn't go far! This post makes me think of one of my favorite verses:
"One generation will commend your works to another, they will tell of your mighty acts." Psalm 145:4
This was a memory verse in my CBS bible study last year. For Christmas that year my mom gave me a painting of 7 chairs sitting outside of a farmhouse. Under the chairs was the above verse. She had no idea that it was part of my bible study, she just thought the chairs represented my (7) children as the next generation. As far as it is in my power, my children will know God!
Thank you for blessing me again, and I am sorry for such a long comment (that seems to be a habit with me). I do have something for you at my blog if you get a chance to come by. Take care and don't stay away too long.
Kelley
ps. you have a beautiful family!!
Happy Easter, Angie.
