Monday's Lunch Hour

It's Monday so it's time for our Cover to Cover readings of the Bible chronologically hosted by Bev. Unfortunately I didn't have a lot of time to do my readings this week, but as I sit on my lunch hour in a coffee shop this verse hits me big-time...

Numbers 11:17
“They will help you carry the burden of the people so that you will not have to carry it alone.”

I am so glad we don't have to go through life on our own. God keeps bringing people in my life who help me carry life's burdens. I don't have big problems, but I am comforted so many times by people who give their time and love when I need them most. God heard me when I prayed for Him to bring me good friends. I want to jump up and down and give Him some Praise! (I wonder what the other people in this coffee shop would think?) He is so amazing! I am grateful today and always. Thank you for your friendship!

Much Love,
Angie xoxo

You are one that God placed in my life that I have the privilege to call friend. I feel a have a partner to carry burdens with in you and share yours. Thank you, sweet Ang, for this and much more. I love the pic on your sidebar of you and Lincoln. I know where it was taken. :) love, Annette

God has no one but us to befriend the weak, the sick, the hurting , the lonely...the ones who need our frienship the most. He is depending on ME to do this! How can I let Him down?
Friendship is a wonderful thing...it joins us to each other with invisible strings that are eternal. I thank God for so many wonderful frienships in my life. I thenk God for YOU!

You are so right. It is one of the many blessings that God gives us as believers....fellow believers who are our sisters in Christ. They are His arms and shoulders here on earth, they are the physical part of Him that we can't see but He makes avilable to us when we need a human shoulder to cry on or someone to laugh with and praise Him. Thanks for pointing this out to us. I had difficulty in getting very much out of the reading last week. Blessings...

I know exactly what you mean. Many years ago, when I had 4 kids in 5 years, I felt very alone and isolated. All of the friends I had were through my husband (who managed to stay connected to the "outside world"). I remember praying for God to bring friends into my life and boy did He deliver! I have such wonderful girlfriends now and I am making more all the time! God is so good!!!

Studying in Matthew this morning and Mark 10: 29-30 says that anyone who has given up or left home or family or anything for Christ and the gospel will receive 100 times as much in this life and eternal life in the future! What a gift! A taste of heaven here...and people to truly share our burdens. 100 times as much! What a lot of girlfriends!! You are such a blessing to me. I am so glad God prompted you to invite me to the Daniel study and connect with you over his Word. Blessings today---Mary

Go ahead and jump up and down! I know I am blessed beyond measure with people to make my load lighter - people who love me and don't judge me. I could jump up and down too when I think of all of them!

I love how we can all be reading the same stuff and see different things. Then, when we share them, it's like a big hug! Go on and sing, girl. No one would blame you! We need to rejoice more!

I'll praise HIM with you. I'm so glad that I dont have to walk this walk alone. This pilgrimage to our heavenly home is so much more fun with friends going along the way!! You're such a blessing!!

Blessings in Christ--

I am picturing you jumping up and down! ;Oo. Thank you for the reminder that we are NEVER alone. Oh help me to cling to that fact when I want to succumb to the feeling of "I'm all alone".
