Cover to Cover...not quiet anymore

If you've never read the Bible Cover to Cover chronologically I highly recommend it. Feel free to join us anytime! It really is the coolest book. I know this sounds funny, but think about it. What other book can you just pick up and turn to any page and be blessed by what you read every single time?

Here are my random favorite verses this week...

Psalm 84
10 Better is one day in your courts
than a thousand elsewhere;

Psalm 62

8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.

Psalm 30
2 O LORD my God, I called to you for help and you healed me.

5 ...weeping may remain for a night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.

11 You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,

12 that my heart may sing to you and not be silent.
O LORD my God,
I will give you thanks forever.

1 Chronicles 29

11 ...for everything in heaven and earth is yours.

Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom;
you are exalted as head over all.

12 Wealth and honor come from you;
you are the ruler of all things.

18 O LORD, God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac and Israel, keep this desire in the hearts of your people forever, and keep their hearts loyal to you.

I don't take these Words lightly. I would never trade my old life for where God has brought me. Better is one day of my life with God than thousands without Him. When I am desperate for Him, He hears my prayers. He healed my heart from what I thought impossible. I cried many nights during the worst time of my life, but now I am rejoicing. He turned my wailing into dancing. He really did! I cannot be silent about it anymore. I used the be so shy and quiet. But now I must share Him with everyone. I will be giving Him thanks for this gift for the rest of my days on earth. Everything I have comes from Him and belongs to Him. I pray I keep this burning desire to keep Him as my center forever.

Joyful only because of Him,
Angie xoxo

Just like David, you cannot be silent for the joy that is yours in His presence. These were some of my favorite verses too. What a mighty delivering God we serve. I'd rather be no place else than in His courts learning more each day of His unfailing love. Beautiful post.
Love you, Annette

Oh, my heart sings! I am so glad that you are dancing and that you have to speak of what the LORD has done!

I looked over at my desk and someone put a broken picture on it (because I handle broken things) and the verse was:
"Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be give me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel..."
Ephesians 6:19

Cool, huh?

blessings to you this day, my friend.

love,
karen

Ang,
The reading touched me so this week, I love verses that touched you as well... I remember being in those places and when i'm not careful I find my self back in them, I would never change those times... Those were the times that God showed me that he loved me and was waiting for me to reach out and take is out stretched hand...
So I sing with a joyful noise in his praise...
Thank you, you are in my prayers today...

Beautiful post. I love the verse "better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere." and also "trust in him at all times."

Your words were beautiful and I could feel the love and passion for our Lord. I can relate to your words/feelings except for one. I am not fully there BUT I KNOW He will get me there. That is where you said: "He healed my heart from what I thought impossible. I cried many nights during the worst time of my life, but now I am rejoicing. He turned my wailing into dancing."

He has healed me indeed but I cannot honestly say that I am totally healed from what i believe is impossible. I do believe with all my heart I will be able to say He healed me from what seemed possible and that he turned my worst time into rejoicing. Wow!! That's power...and there IS power in Christ.

I too used to be so shy and quiet and I have really blossomed in the last year. When God yanks you out of your comfort zone, amazing things happen.
Loves,
Paula
